Faux Flower Arrangement DIY

This weekend, I worked on some faux plant/floral arrangements for our sunroom.

When it comes to crafts, I usually just make wreaths, so this was a new thing for me! It took some trial and error, but I finally figured out a technique to this DIY project.

We got our plant pots from TJMAXX all the other supplies from Hobby Lobby.

You’ll see in my YouTube video (embedded down below), that I was trying to find a way to fill the pots without using all the rocks in one pot. I bought six small bags of white rocks, and it ended up being perfect!

To fill in gaps in the pot, I used plastic bags – which we always have a ton of. Afterwards, I poured the rocks in, letting it rest on top of the bags. It was perfect!

The pictures below are placed in order of my favorites – meaning the last one is my “problem plant” as it didn’t fit the vision I had for it. So, that one might be adjusted or replaced completely.

I’ve linked some cute pot plants/faux plants I found at TJMAXX. Let me know if you give this a try and tag me on Instagram (@christinaonair)!

My favorite hair care products

As a former TV news reporter, I was getting haircuts consistently. They were scheduled every six to eight weeks and my hair was in the best shape ever!

Before that, I think I only got my haircut once a year. Now, that I’m out of the news industry, I’m not exactly sure how often I’ll be able to get it done.

I had been way past due for a haircut before moving to Montana, and my hair had the worst split ends – like the kind I used to see back in high school (because I wasn’t consistent with haircuts back then either).

Well, I finally got a trim and got all the split and dead ends off. My goal now is to take extremely good care of my hair – this is for a few reasons.

  • To help growth as I try to grow out my hair for my wedding (I do not want hair extensions)
  • To keep it healthy and cut the need for frequent haircuts (they can get pricey!)

Here are some of my favorite hair care products:

  • Chi Iron Guard Spray – this is a heat protectant I use before styling my hair with heat tools. It smells great and I feel that it makes a big difference.
  • Chi Silk Infusion Serum – I like to put a tiny bit of this at the ends of my hair. It also works great if you have dry hair. This even helps tame my baby hairs.
  • Wet Brush – My favorite hairbrush. It doesn’t pull and feels amazing whenever I use it.

Revitalash Advanced Eyelash Conditioner & Serum|Review

If you’ve been looking for a lash serum that will give you real results, this is the blog post for you! We’re talking all about Revitalash’s Advanced Eyelash Conditioner & Serum and why I think it’s worth the price.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know I’m a skeptic of almost every product. I had been wanting to try out a lash serum, but just didn’t know if I’d be getting real results or just results if any at all.

I settled on the Revitalash lash serum, but didn’t actually do any specific research on it – I figured all lash serums are essentially the same.

Turns out, I was wrong! So, when my lashes started to curl, I was surprised! Revitalash’s lash serum has a curl effect to it. Three months later, this has completely helped the lash problem I’ve had for years – I go into detail about this in my full review on YouTube.

To break it down, I saw progress in my lashes each month.

  • Month 1: I started seeing the curl effect
  • Month 2: My lashes started to grow longer
  • Month 3: My lashes started to look thicker

I’m still currently in month three, but I’m expecting them to look even thicker another few months in.

Overall, I’m extremely pleased with the results. I like how you’re able to see different forms of progress every month. Just seeing that progress helped me stay consistent, just knowing I’d see more and even better results later!

The stuff is pricey, but 100% worth it in my opinion! I reached out to Revitalash to get you guys a code, and they were nice enough to give me one!

Use code CHRISTINA15 to get 15% off their website. I got the six-month supply, but they also have a three-month option.

Let me know the results you see once you start using it! Tag me on Instagram (@christinaonair) or comment down below!
