Best Sellers | Jan. 2nd – 9th

Hey all! I’ve got your list of last week’s best sellers right here! It’s a mix of beauty and fashion, and I’m excited about this one!

I used to only wear coats that were just “enough” for me, meaning I didn’t care if they matched my outfit or not. Nowadays, I have at least three good fashionable coats I can wear to match my outfit – and yes, they all keep me warm! I should have had a nice one while I worked in news, but low pay meant I could only buy one coat – and my focus was on something I knew I wouldn’t have to return. This one from Nordstrom looks amazing, and it’s on sale! Jump on it!

This oversized blazer from Express was a top seller overall for 2021 – always check Express for their blazers. They are my favorite!

The Tula primer and moisturizer is the only Tula product I’ve tried and I absolutely love it. Check out my review on it here!

This Amazon eye mask is a must for anyone with false lashes or lash extensions. Big lifesaver.

Finally, this YSL zip pouch is so classy! I love the black-on-black detail. I can only link a brand new version, but there are always pre-loved options in this color on FashionPhile. I wasn’t able to find any, but just keep checking back!

Let me know what your favorites are!

Il Makiage Foundation | Review | First Impression

Hope you all had a great weekend! I shot a review on the Il Makiage foundation after being targeted by an Instagram ad. Let me say, these ads are VERY convincing, so I decided to click on the ad and see what it was all about.

The foundation by Il Makiage is said to be the perfect match for your skin tone. They have more than 50 shades, so the perfect one for each person has to be out there! Their website has a quiz – and it is the easiest quiz, meaning that it’s quick and effortless. I took the quiz not thinking I’d get a good match, but as you’ll see in the video, I was pleasantly surprised! Take the quiz here.

What really sold me on giving Il Makiage a try, is their “try it before you buy it” feature. I just had to pay shipping and the product was mine to try for 14 days. It also shipped pretty fast!

As for my first impressions, the foundation is light, smooth, buildable, and I really did get my perfect match. I could not believe how taking a quiz online got me a well-matched foundation than going to a beauty store to get matched by an employee. Shocked!

I’ll leave you to watch the video, but overall, I am impressed and would definitely recommend the Il Makiage foundation for you to try. I personally would like to try their primer next!

Let me know your thoughts if you give it a try! Get the foundation here.

Best Sellers of 2021 | Top 10

Welcome to 2022! I’ve taken note of all your favorite items that I’ve shared and rounded them all up in my list of my top sellers of 2021!

Pants took over the majority of this list, and it was mostly jeans. They range from Abercrombie, Good American, and Express. Also coming in from Express are the oversized blazers – a top fave of mine for 2021.

I was so happy to see the Supergoop Sunscreen Powder make this list because it shows me you’re taking care of your skin! Skincare is so important to me, and it’s something I wish I started years ago.

The dressy coat from Nordstrom also made the list, along with my top Amazon best seller – the purse strap I use on my Louis Vuitton Speedy 30!

What items were that I shared were your favorite from 2021?

Amazon Candle-Making Kit | Review

This week I’m giving you all the deets on this Amazon Candle-Making Kit!

For starters, if it’s your first time making candles, this is a really good all-in-one kit. When I made my first candle (you check out my process here), I completely forgot about buying a thermometer when I was gathering all my supplies at Hobby Lobby. Fortunately, this kit already has one.

The kit includes six tins for your candles, but they’re smaller than I expected – guess it helps to read the description! I go into detail about how many candles one of the four bags of wax can make, but remember, it all depends on the size of your jars/tins. For me, one bag filled four of the small tins it came with. So, it may be different if you’re using a large jar.

As for the instructions, they’re pretty straightforward, but I wish they had more detail on how much water to fill the pot with to help the wax melt in the pouring pot.

I show the process of making and pouring the wax into the tins in my video down below, but overall, it’s a pretty great starter kit for anyone who is interested in making their own candles. I like that it also included five different essential oils, so you definitely get a variety of scents.

Best Sellers Dec. 20 – 26

It’s time for the weekly best sellers round-up! I hope you all had a great Christmas and Hanukkah, are you ready for the new year?! I definitely am!

Last week’s best sellers mostly come from Amazon, one of which is these clear tray organizers. They fit great in the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom drawers. I use them in our kitchen and desk drawers and it makes everything so easy to find.

The other Amazon find is this purse strap – it’s the perfect match for any Louis Vuitton in the Damier Ebene print. I personally use it on my Speedy 30. I actually have a full review of it on my YouTube channel here. Another thing I use in my Speedy is this purse organizer, which I also have a review on here!

As for the Rothy’s – size up a half size! I’m a size 7, but go up to 7.5 in all Rothy’s.

Lastly is a sale alert on my FAVORITE fall/winter coat from Ralph Lauren. It makes any outfit better and dressed up – it works great over sweats! I love to use it at any time of day. It’s the perfect coat. Also… it’s on sale!! Run to Nordstrom or order it online before it sells out!

Amazon Automatic Curler vs. Chi Spin N Curl

One of my favorite products to review are hair tools! I also love comparing hair tools to more affordable alternatives and helping you decide which one is the better buy.

This week, I reviewed the Amazon Automatic Hair Curler and compared it to the Chi Spin N Curl.

The two look very similar, but there are a few minor differences that I go into detail about in my full YouTube review. You’ll see how I demonstrate how each one works and how the curls compare from both products.

In the end, I would rate the Amazon Automatic Hair Curler an 8/10 and would still choose my Chi Spin N Curl over it. However, if you are on a budget, the Amazon version is still a good option – it works well! You can check out why I’d still choose the Chi Spin N Curl in the video below.

Click here to get the Amazon Automatic Hair Curler and here for the Chi Spin N Curl.
