An Honest Review of Skims Bras

When it comes to bras, I feel like it can take YEARS to find the one you love – the one you want to stick with! I believe I have finally found it: Skims.

I started exploring Skims through their dresses first, then quickly made the move to their undergarments. I quickly fell in love with the brand. Turns out, Kim Kardashian knows what she’s doing. Everything I own from her brand is comfortable and great quality. And yes, the same goes for the bras.

At this time, the newest bra released from Skims is the Teardrop Push-Up Bra. My social accounts were quickly filled with ad videos showing off the fit of the bra, including women of all bust sizes. The one thing I didn’t see, was the inside of the bra itself. So, I’m here to show it to you!

I’ve tried on a ton of push-up bras growing up, and I can say this is one of the best and most comfortable push-ups I’ve ever put on. In fact, I knew I had to give an honest review of the Skims Teardrop Push-Up Bra. It’s a great bra, but it’s just not for me.

I believe it really depends on how you feel while wearing it. While I felt great support and coverage, I feel like it just made me look a little extra; over the top. While I do agree, the bra does give great shape, I’m not looking for the extra oomph that it gives me. However, if that is something you’re looking for – go for it!

On the left side of the image above, I’m wearing my true size in the Skims Fits Everybody T-Shirt Bra (my favorite bra!). On the right side, I’m wearing the Teardrop Push-Up Bra. The difference is crazy! I hope this helps you understand why I decided against keeping the bra. BUT – I did keep the Fits Everybody T-Shirt – I’m obsessed!

However, I have quite a few Skims bras in my collection already. I have fully made the switch to Skims bras not only because they’re comfortable and last, but after so many washes, I have yet to find any spots that fade/tear/fall apart. Nothing has been damaged and started poking me – like I have found with other bras.

Amazon Prime Day 2023

Amazon’s Prime Day Sale isn’t something I usually go into detail about, and the reason is because this sale is so challenging to make a guide for! Amazon is a huge supplier of many different products, so a guide on so many areas that you can shop for will easily and quickly be overwhelming – especially when you see so many from full-time influencers – prepping for this sale is truly a full-time job.

What is Prime Day?

Amazon’s Prime Day is a special sale exclusively for Prime members, with deals on a variety of items across different categories. This year, it runs from July 11-12. Not a Prime member? Join here.

Are there sales now?

Yes! There have been rotating sales in the days leading up to it (another reason why this sale is so challenging to keep up with when you have a full-time job), so it’s helpful to keep checking the changing deals every day to see what you can score!

Prime Day Tips

As with any big sale, I recommend you go into it with a focus in mind. This is a sale that you know comes every year – do you want to focus on home items/decor? Or maybe fashion and clothing for the upcoming season? Electronics? Go into the Prime Day Sale with a focus (and a budget!) and I promise you will do better than you thought!

Since I won’t know the full details of what will actually be on sale until the day of, I’m sharing my Amazon favorites for different categories including home, fashion, and pet care! I find this will be a lot easier to do now instead of trying to get collages and a guide together after working a full day at my full-time job.

I’ve pinned a Prime Day 2023 folder at the top of my Storefront, and I’ve also pinned my top Amazon favorite purchases. I’ll continue to update my Prime Day folder as I see sale items come in the day of, that catch my eye!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2023

It’s officially time for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! This is my top favorite sale to shop every year – and the preview is such a big help! I love the fact that you can preview the sale, add items you’d like to purchase to your “wish list” and then move them all to your cart when you’re able to access the sale. It saves so much time and makes the whole process less stressful!

What is the NSale?

It’s Nordstrom’s biggest sale/fashion event of the year where you can save on brand new items and home and fashion essentials! The sale runs July 11 (if you’re a Nordstrom card holder. Apply here.)- August 6, but public access to the sale starts July 17.

As usual, access to the sale is broken into tiers:

Since I’m a Nordstrom Card holder, I’m able to shop the sale on July 13 as an “Influencer” (everyone who has the Nordstrom Card starts out at the “Influencer” level.

One thing I’ve noticed is that a lot of the items full-time influencers share, will sell out QUICK! For example, the Barefoot dreams blankets are always part of the sale, and I’ve never been able to grab one during it. It’s also very frustrating because I see a lot of these full-time influencers buy multiples of one item for giveaways!

This is why my guide will have a mix of a few popular items that are always part of the sale (like Spanx faux leather leggings), and other items that I don’t think will sell out as quickly.

Feeling overwhelmed with all the sale collages being thrown at you?

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed when all you see are sale collages on social media. Here’s my technique – go into the sale with a focus. For example, one year I focused on loungewear (must have been 2020/2021 during the COVID-19 Pandemic). Another year, I focused on jewelry/accessories. Also, give yourself a budget – there is no need to go into debt over this sale! Because I’m planning to buy one big item this year, I may not buy anything else, or I might buy one or two items for a total of three items. We shall see!

My NSale Guide

I think the NSale is a great time to stock up on Nordstrom brand jewlery – the quality is great (they don’t turn my skin green!) and it’s very affordable! It’s also a great time to stock up on basic pieces like tanks and trench coats that carry you from fall to winter. Below are my guides that I hope help you find your focus for this year’s sale.

BOGO Free Cocktail Dresses at Lulu’s!

If you have any events coming up and have been searching for the perfect dress – it’s probably at Lulu’s! Their buy-one-get-one FREE sale starts TOMORROW and includes ALL their cocktail dress!

We’ll be heading to a wedding in Colorado in about two weeks, so I’m definitely taking advantage of this sale. I personally find Lulu’s dresses to fit well and be of great quality. Plus, their review section is the most helpful – I really like that you can filter reviews by specific sizes, including your bust, waist, and even height.

Even though I’ve already had out my wedding guest dress planned out months in advance, I thought, why not give myself even more options?! Besides, I can wear whatever I don’t wear during our trip to Vegas at the end of July.. win-win!

Best Sellers April 24 – May 1

Hi all! I’m a day late with the best sellers, but it’s okay! This month I have trips every weekend, with the first one being a trip back to my second-favorite state: Colorado! Stay tuned for some fun travel posts throughout the month!

There are two hair tools on the list this week, both of which are on Amazon! The Chi Spin N Curl and this Conair 1-inch curling iron.

Another hair product also makes the list – the Bumble and Bumble volumizing powder dry shampoo. This truly keeps my roots dry and volumized, far better than any other dry shampoo I have tried.

This Free People Movement jacket is so cute and folds into a small bag, making it nice to pack up for small spaces. I got it in a size small, but definitely could have gotten an XS.

Lastly, this Urban Outfitters vest is a nice addition to any vest collection. It definitely has an oversized feel to it.

Best Sellers | April 11 – 23

Hi all! I hope you all had a good weekend! Mine was busy with content planning and creating, but I feel ahead of the game!

This week includes best sellers ranging from clothing to Amazon organization products. I love that because it tells me you’re enjoying what I share, and that you find my content helpful!

The Rothy’s Weekender bag is perfect for a weekend getaway. However, if you plan to use it for a flight, I would recommend using a different carryon bag, or don’t over-pack your Weekender. I overpacked It on one of trips, and it was challenging trying to run from gate to gate with a heavy bag on my shoulder.

This oversized tote from Abercrombie and Fitch is just the cutest! I don’t have a beach trip planned, but I do have plans to lay by the pool in Las Vegas this summer! This is big enough to fit your pool towel and your other pool essentials.

These low-cut Amazon socks are basic, but I love the fit. I liked that this set comes with socks in three different colors. Plus, they’re super affordable.

I love using this set of Amazon jars in my laundry room. I use one for dryer balls and the other for laundry pods. My laundry room looks so much better now that I’ve reorganized the area.

This wooden Amazon scooper is cute! I actually came across it in a YouTube blog and saw people using it for their laundry scent boosters. I don’t use scent boosters, but I do use mine for my OxyClean powder.
