Nordstrom Anniversary Sale | 2021

It’s that time of year again! Time to take advantage of some good deals coming up at Nordstrom!

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the time I shop at Nordstrom the most. I try not to make too many purchases throughout the year there and usually try to wait for this sale.

I understand this sale is frustrating for many, myself included. The problem I’ve seen in the past is that A LOT of things sell out FAST. In addition to this, a lot of influencers buy multiples of items for their giveaways – and these are popular items too, like the Barefoot Dreams blankets. In fact, I was so annoyed by never being able to get that blanket on sale, that I just bought it myself full price! It doesn’t make sense to me that influencers make collages of very popular items, that the general public won’t even be able to put the item in their cart once the sale is open to them!

So, for this year’s sale, I put together a list of things I’m hoping don’t sell out quickly. Yes, I’ve included things like the Barefoot Dreams blankets, just to let you know it is a hot-ticket item. I’ve also included a few things I already have and can 100% vouch for in terms of quality.

The products I tend to stay away from during this sale, are shoes. Shoes are always difficult for me to buy online – I prefer to try them on in-store if I can. While I love a great deal on a pair of shoes, unless I’m dying to have them, I won’t make the purchase. This is something I learned from my a previous Nordstrom Anniversary Sale – I bought booties and they were just a little too tight for my wide feet! I kept them anyway. I just try not to wear them for long hours.

As you browse through these collages (all are linked) I made, I suggest putting items you love in your “wish list.” This will make the process to check out quick and easy, and gives you a higher chance of actually getting these products. I do want to warn you however, that I did end up not getting a shirt that I successfully checked out with because turns out – it was out of stock. So, that is another thing that is frustrating.

Take note of when you have access to the sale (I myself can start to shop on July 16th), and remember, don’t go into debt over it! Stay in control! I always give myself a limit and even then, try to stay below it as much as I can. All items are linked, just click on each collage. Good luck!

YSL Monogram Bill Pouch | Review

Hi all! Today’s blog post is all about the YSL Monogram Bill Pouch!

A classic, special occasion clutch is something I’ve been wanting to get since forever, but I never found the right one until this YSL Monogram Bill Pouch!

You’ll see in my YouTube video that I have a few wristlets that are more for casual wear, but nothing that truly says “classic” or “timeless,” which I feel the YSL clutch says. By the way, it’s technically called a “bill pouch”, but I’ll be using it as a clutch, so I’ll call it a clutch.

One thing I like to do is compare pre-loved prices to brand new pricing, straight from the website – something I’m really glad I did with this purchase! I ended up finding this pouch on Fashionphile for the same price as a brand new one! So, I ended up getting it brand new from the YSL website. This also ensured I’d get the box and dustbag – an important thing to consider when making big designer purchases, albeit this is a smaller designer purchase.

I’ve linked a few pre-loved options of this clutch, in a few different colors below the video. If you prefer to buy brand new, click here to go straight to my exact clutch.

Best Sellers | June 28 – July 4

Hope you all had a happy 4th! We spent the day at home grilling some hotdogs and trying to comfort our dogs from the fireworks!

The best sellers list is out! I’m happy to report these Abercrombie jeans are currently on sale! They’re comfortable and definitely recommend.

This Amazon patio table set is perfect for an apartment (that’s why we got ours!). Right now, it’s sitting in our sunroom. I love that when it’s not in use, you can easily tuck the chairs in under the table. The seat cushions are all-weather too – so that’s a big plus!

Hope you all have a great day!

Latest Amazon finds

Happy weekend! The 4th of July is just around the corner!

While I didn’t have time to make a 4th of July outfits or accessories post, I wanted to show you some of my recent Amazon finds. Yes, this was easier to make because I HAVE all these items – so it’s easier for me to actually talk about these things, and I can speak to the quality of the items.

First – dresses have been a new go-to for me in this summer heat – they’re easy and breezy! The black dress in the middle is one I bought a few months ago, but I still wanted to add it to this list because it’s great for summer and can be dressed up or down! I also really love this dress because it’s the perfect length on my five-foot frame.

The striped dress is light and feels great on a summer day. The black floral piece is very cute, but not as light of a material as the striped dress, however, I decided to keep it because it’s such a cute and fun piece!

The three-barrel deep waver is a major upgrade to the one I’ve had since HIGH SCHOOL – I know, crazy right?! The only problem is that I sometimes press the “off” button while I’m using it – otherwise, it works great!

Lastly, the popcorn maker – a friend of mine used it when I was over and I just loved how fresh the popcorn tasted! I’ve used mine a few times now and I’m glad I bought it – I swear it tastes different from the microwave!

How I made my own candle | Candle DIY

Hope you all had a great weekend! I spent part of it making this candle – it was something I had been wanting to do for a long time, but didn’t realize how much went into it!

My plan was to make a citronella candle to keep mosquitoes away in the backyard, but I couldn’t find citronella oil anywhere (in person)! So, I ended up using pure lemon and orange essential oils. I understand essential oils are flammable, so I encourage everyone who wants to DIY a candle to do research to understand the correct amount of essential or fragrance oil to use in your candle.

As you’ll see in my video, I melted half of each bag of wax at a time in order to make sure I wasn’t over-making any. In total, I ended up using two and a half pounds of wax melt.

In the end, I’m super happy with how my first DIY candle turned out! I think it looks pretty and is a wonderful centerpiece for our patio!

I will have everything that I can, linked, linked from Amazon, including the citronella oil I should have ordered before starting this project!

Best Sellers June 14 – 20

This week’s best sellers has a good mix of clothes and a purse strap!

Two of these items are from Abercrombie – both are top faves for me. The tank is a basic Target must-have, and the blazer is one of my favorite oversized blazers.
