PMD Beauty Personal Microderm Elite Pro | Review

This week’s YouTube video is all about skincare – specifically, the PMD Beauty Personal Microderm Elite Pro.

Apart from an aquafacial, I’ve never had any microdermabrasion work done, so I’m entirely new to this process and experience. What I like about this set, is that it comes with everything, including exfoliating discs of different strength levels. I also like that it comes with different caps, allowing for a more custom experience with your microdermabrasion.

You’ll see in my full video below that it’s important to use this on a freshly cleaned face. I personally like using this on a weekend, on a day when I don’t plan on wearing a full face of makeup. I think it’s important to allow your skin to breathe after using this – give your skin a good break!

The big question is.. does this actually work? I’m not an expert in this field, but you’ll get my full thoughts on this in my video below. Check it out and let me know what you think!

Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Sale

The Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Sale is something I rarely take advantage of. Why? Because I try to only stick to big purchases items on face makeup – foundation, concealer, and powder.

When it comes to skincare and other makeup products – including lipsticks, mascara, and eyebrow pencils, I tend to stick to drugstore items. I mean, right now, my lipsticks are from Kylie Cosmetics, so that doesn’t exactly count! But the point is, I try to only splurge on certain makeup/skincare products!

With Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty Sale, I thought it would be nice to make you all a guide on the products I think are worth ordering online, as some items are online only. The sale runs from March 13th to April 2nd.

So, without further ado, here are the products I’d recommend from the 21 Days of Beauty Sale:

Today (3/13) marks the start of the sale, but with this going up late on the first day, I definitely cost you two great items:

Thursday, 3/17

Friday, 3/18

Wednesday, 3/30

Saturday, 4/2

As you can see, I don’t feel the need to purchase something on sale, every day. I’ve stuck to products I’ve tried that I know work well, and products I’ve heard have great reviews. This is also a great time to get something you’ve been wanting to try, but didn’t want to spend a lot on. Click here to check out the full list of products that are part of the sale. Oh, and remember, there are mystery items scattered all throughout the duration of the sale. Let me know if there’s a must-try item I don’t have on my list!

Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Mask | Review

Earlier this week, I bought the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay. I’ve heard so many positive things about it, that I knew I just had to buy it when I saw it at Target!

I thought the clay was already pre-mixed and ready to use as a mask, but you actually have to mix it with water or raw apple cider vinegar. I personally hate apple cider vinegar, so I used water.

What I love about the clay is that you use it in a way that works for you. So, you can leave on your face for five minutes, or even as long as 20 minutes! And you really feel your face pulsate! The tightening and lift you feel from the mask is unreal – it’s strong! But don’t worry, it’s not painful.

Immediately afterward, my face felt smooth and soft – better than any other beauty mask I’ve used. Yes, other beauty masks give me smooth and soft skin afterward, but this was different – like next level.

I definitely recommend this mask to anyone looking for a deeper facial cleanse and softer skin. The instructions say you can use it once a week or more often for problematic skin – I’ll be using it two to three times a week. I’m really hoping to see a difference in my pores after longer use of the clay. I’ll make sure to keep you updated on this too!

Sephora Sale! | Spring Savings ends April 19

Looking to get some new makeup? Now’s the time to shop at Sephora for MORE than one item.

Makeup can be so pricey, I can hardly every buy more than one product at a time if we’re talking foundation and powders. However, now that there’s reason shop AND save, I thought I’d share my top picks with you!

The Sephora Sale is officially open to everyone. This sale is typically broken into tiers (similar to how Nordstrom did their anniversary sale last year), with VIB Rouge members shopping first, then VIBs, then Insiders.

Each member can get a different percentage off, depending on which bracket they fall into.

I haven’t shopped at Sephora much, so I have the status of Insider and can only get 10% off.

You can shop this sale in stores or online with code: OMGSPRING

While looking at the cart I just filled up online, I realize it’s a lot of basics and one skincare item.

I’ve definitely been through a phase where I wanted to try EVERYTHING and ALL the hottest skincare products, but I’m at a point in my life now where I know what works for me and I know what I like, makeup-wise.

I also like to use sales like these for pricer products, so I can save on them.

Here’s what I picked out from the sale:

IT Cosmetics – Your Skin But Better Foundation – It’s not full coverage, but good for everyday wear. For full coverage, I like Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Foundation – it’s been my all-time favorite foundation. I wear the shade Tawny in this one.

For face powder, I’m pretty simple – I’ve used Mac Mineralized Skin Finish, Laura Mercier Translucent powder, and more recently, Charlotte Tillbury’s Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder. They all seem the same to me, and I have seen nothing amazing about either one. Let me know if you have a must-have powder product.

I added the Kat Von D Tattoo Eyeliner to my cart. Ever since I first tried this out, I never went back to pencil eyeliner again. It’s amazing and makes me feel good about putting eyeliner on because it goes on smoothly!

I added the Tarte Toasted Eyeshadow Palette because I feel like eyeshadow palettes can be pricey, so save now. I like the colors in this palette with the reds and browns. I think these colors give a pretty neutral look, with depth.

Nars blush will always be my favorite. Not only does the color last long, but the product lasts long as well. I’ve tried colors in Orgasm and Deep Throat, and love them both. Right now, I’m wanting to try the color, Sin.

Can’t forget about bronzer! I added the Hoola Matte Bronzer from Benefit. I’m not too picky about bronzer, but I really like this one!

For skincare, I really like these Extra Strength Alpha Daily Peels by Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare. These are so expensive, so try to get them on sale when you can!

Clinique’s Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm – I LOVE cleansing balms, so I definitely recommend getting one. It’s amazing at taking off makeup and makes it easy to double cleanse. For more on double cleansing, check out my blog post here.

Lastly, I’d list the Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer or Airwrap, but they’re already out of stock! That’s what I don’t like about tiered sales – the hot ticket items sell out way before the general public has access to the sale. I have the hairdryer, and I definitely recommend! It’s quieter than a normal hairdryer and dries my hair really fast – worth it!

Those are my pics from the Sephora Sale! I hope you found my list helpful! Overall, I never go too crazy over this sale, I just stick to basics!

JUNO & Co. | JUNOSKIN Cleansing Balm | Review

My office in our new home is almost complete! It feels great to have a space dedicated to the work on my blog – I’ll be sure to show you the finished look!

This week’s blog post is all about JUNOSKIN. I’m fairly new to JUNO & Co. and I’ve been enjoying learning about the company, which makes affordable skincare and makeup.

I reviewed their Moonshine Miracle Cream a while ago, which I think is comparable to SmashBox’s Photofinish primer.

If you’re new or just getting started with cleansing balms, I highly recommend checking out JUNOSKIN’s Clean 10 Cleansing balm.

It’s so incredibly silky and quickly melts in your fingers. It makes your makeup removal process so smooth and easy. Because it’s so silky, I was expecting it to leave a little bit of grease behind, but it doesn’t!

I’d say it’s comparable to Clinique’s Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm. The big difference is that JUNOSKIN’s balm is silkier, has a very mild scent, and has dark spot brightening properties! That’s something that really sparked my interest in this product, as I have numerous dark spots I’ve been working to brighten.

My 2020 Skincare Routine

I was never the best at face washing – it takes up too much time! But I always thought, “Hey, I did it, so we’re good.” Even if it was just a simple wash or a makeup wipe.

I recently started my skincare journey with the goal of getting clearer, smoother skin with improved texture. So, I would say I really started to take better care of my skin at the end/beginning of 2020. Finally, at 30 I realized skincare is important!

A simple skincare regimen was all I thought I needed. I thought, “Why put all that product on my face? Isn’t that too much?” Now, after careful and lengthy research, I realize there’s a reason for each step.
